At first it's a calendar...
Sony displayed its latest electronic paper prototype at an exhibition of its latest gadgets at a convention in Tokyo yesterday. It is thin, light and flexible with a low power consumption.
Earlier this year Sony showed off its prototype flexible OLED video display, and this latest e-paper suggests commercialization of the technology is edging ever closer to reality.
Thanks to their innovation Sony was revealed earlier this year to be the second-most desirable company for Japanese salarymen to work for, second only to Google.

At the latest convention the company also displayed their latest Sony Reader Pocket Edition, digital cameras, a new range of Sony Walkman personal media players and prototype model of the Vaio notebook computer, which can show 3D images on its LCD display.
An example of Philipp's epaper technology...
As well as leading the field with e-paper, Sony also aims to take a 50 percent share of the market for 3D televisions in Japan in 2011, Nobuki Kurita, president of Sony's marketing division, said in a briefing.
